November 8, 2014 WIMAPS REPORT
by Scott Malawski

Our most recent meeting, hosted by members Mark and Margie Kranz, was held on Saturday, November 7, at their wonderful home, located in New Berlin, WI. Prior to the start of the meeting, members gathered in a “great” room filled with an amazing collection of rare phonographs, radios, jukeboxes, period accessories and homemade finger-foods and snacks (courtesy of our hosts.)
President Margaret Bisberg called the meeting to order after members toured the Kranz home and had time to chat amongst each other.
Several club members who attended the second Schlick auction on October 26-27 discussed its success and how well the Donleys did in presenting the auction. People also seemed happy with their purchases. Joan Rolfs distributed the last two “Phonograph Conversations” DVDs to members Phil Gansz and Brenda Brekke for donation to educational institutions.

Meetings for 2015 were discussed and member Mike Laven will be hosting a meeting on Sunday, May 3 at his beautiful home in Milwaukee, WI. Rob and Joan Rolfs will host the July 4th meeting and members will be privileged to see a fantastic collection of rare phonographs and memorabilia, along with the traditional summer meeting flea market

President Margaret reported upcoming events, including the Stanton Auction in November, Bixfest and the Bunny Berrigan festival in March, and the Orlando Phonograph Show in January.

Members were asked to present their show and tell items, which included a 12” record album, which was made to hold several 45’s on each album page and a great photo of a toddler posed next to a rear-mount Zonophone Grand phonograph.

Members then proceeded to the Kranz’s favorite local restaurant where everyone enjoyed lots of good food and conversation, after which members departed from a fun-filled day.
